You donât have time to go find clients.
Youâre good at what you do, and thatâs exactly why youâre always buried in the work. Your days fill up with the thing youâre actually good at, and finding new clients slides to the bottom of the list. You do it in bursts, when an hour opens up. Then a busy stretch hits and you forget to plant anything. Three months later the phone rings less, and youâre not quite sure why.
A client with the same problem
I work with Cristiano Pusca, who helps small businesses make their sales team run without him. Good at his job, respected in his field. But leads only came in when he pushed: a phone call, a post, a trade show. The moment he stopped, everything stopped.
His problem wasnât skill. It was that his only source of new leads was his own time. And when youâre working, there isnât any.
What I built for him
I built an online test. Ten questions, three minutes: âHow long does your sales team hold up without you?â
Whoever takes it answers simple questions about how their company runs. At the end, the test calculates two things: how much the company depends on the owner, and how much that dependence costs every year. A precise number, on their own situation.
So far itâs a test. The part that matters is what happens next.
The moment someone finishes it:
- The result lands in Cristianoâs CRM, name and contact details already inside.
- An automatic alert goes off, letting him know thereâs a fresh lead ready to follow up.
- The person gets a series of automated emails, written once and sent on their own, that pick up their result and help them make sense of it.
On top of that, I connected the list to an automatic weekly send. Every week the contacts get something useful, without Cristiano lifting a finger. The system tracks who opens and who clicks, so over time it becomes clear whoâs warming up and who isnât.
Meanwhile, Cristiano works.
The result
The system has already brought in a lead. A real one, in on its own, while he was somewhere else doing his job.
One lead might sound like nothing. It isnât. Cristiano sells training in packages worth thousands. A single lead handled well pays the system back many times over. And this one keeps coming, week after week, with nobody chasing it.
It isnât luck. Itâs a machine that stays on while heâs off.
What this means for you
If your only source of clients is you, you have a ceiling. Your time. When the time runs out, the leads run out.
A test like this flips that. It turns a bit of curiosity (âhow long would my company last without me?â) into a qualified lead that comes in on its own and warms itself up over the following weeks. You find it already warm, ready for the call that counts.
One thing I like about this case: I built it for a client first, then for myself. The calculator on this site comes from the same blueprint. It isnât a theory Iâm selling you. Itâs how I actually work.
Free up your time
If youâre chasing clients by hand too, thereâs a way to make the first ones show up on their own. Start here: find out how much time you can free up.
